ASL, Closed Captioning and Visual Accessibility
American Sign Language
We will have a skilled team of American Sign Language interpreters available at INBOUND this year.
In order to ensure availability and allow for adequate preparation, the deadline for requesting an interpreter has passed. It was October 7, 2021. You may still request services by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org, however we cannot guarantee an interpreter for all your desired sessions. We will do our best to accommodate your needs.
We offer English closed captioning for all INBOUND 2021 pre-recorded and live content available to users within the digital platform, as well as, On-Demand following the event. Closed caption settings can be toggled on or off within the video player on the platform.
AudioEye Visual Toolkit
In addition to closed captioning, we have partnered exclusively with AudioEye to help us ensure our event is accessible.
Our digital platform features AudioEye's accessibility Visual Toolkit that provides web personalization tools that allow end-users to customize their user experience to meet their individual needs. The AudioEye Visual Toolkit is intended for users who need to make situational adjustments to improve their experience on the INBOUND digital platform.
For INBOUND 2021, the Visual Toolkit includes the following features:
Focus – Draws a colorful box around buttons and links, making them easier to find and select for visual keyboard users
Cursor – Enlarges the mouse’s cursor display for ease of tracking and improves the usability for low-vision users
Highlight – Gives a bright colored highlight over either headings, links, or the entire text for visual keyboard users
Contrast – Provides options to sharpen the image, desaturate to remove color, and invert color elements into sharper contrast
Color Shift – Shifts the color wheel allowing users with different forms of color blindness to perceive more contrast between colors
Animation – Eliminates potential hazards, like moving or flashing animations that may trigger epileptic seizures
Text Size – Enlarges all website body and headline copy for improved readability and usability for low-vision users
Spacing – Changes the distance between words and lines of text for improved readability and usability for users
Font – Changes the typeface on pages and includes a font intended to assist individuals with dyslexia
Guide – Enhances focus and improves reading comprehension by creating a horizontal line controlled by the cursor
Window – Enhances focus and improves reading comprehension by blurring most of the page view as controlled by the cursor
Images – Shows the alternative text that describes the images on the website when hovered over with the cursor
For all of our audio-only Podcast sessions, you can download a PDF English transcript in the Takeaways tab within the Session view right-hand side panel on the digital platform during the event. PDF English transcripts will also be available in the On-Demand section of the platform post event.
PDF English transcript for all other sessions will be available for Powerhouse Passholders approximately one week after the event concludes in the On-Demand section of the platform.
