Sustainability at INBOUND

Sustainability at INBOUND

We're on a mission at HubSpot to decarbonize our operations and become Net Zero. Sustainability is top of mind as we plan for INBOUND24 and beyond! Some examples of how we are reducing the carbon impact of INBOUND include:

  • We’re engaging and leaning into local vendors to mitigate carbon emissions from travel.
  • We’ve reduced our physical advertising and have drastically decreased the amount of printed agendas and maps - utilize our mobile app (available for download in August) to get all of this important information at your fingertips!
  • We have reduced our merch offering to only include sustainable items made to order so that there are no leftovers. Items can only be picked up onsite to reduce emissions related to shipping.
  • We are building, storing, and reusing more and more of our structures, decor, and booths to minimize post-event waste; and will collaborate with our venue to donate any materials we can’t reuse post-event.
  • Attendee badges are made from recycled ABS plastic. The Klik buttons are collected at the end of the event for recycling and reusing. Additionally, we’ve removed the year from our lanyards so we can reuse them for more than one year.
  • INBOUND is less than 1 mile from more than 50% of our hotel block, which reduces the need for travel between hotel accommodations and the event.
  • Virtual attendance is an option provided to all attendees who want to eliminate travel. Tune into our YouTube Livestream in September!
  • We are engaging with all our vendors, including our partner hotels, to assess their sustainable and environmental commitments and work together towards a more sustainable future.
  • Our food and beverage partners are committed to sourcing local vendors as well as composting food waste, recycling, and utilizing biodegradable packaging and corn-based compostable cups and utensils. Please use the compost and recycling bins around the venue when you’re done eating!
  • We are measuring the overall event carbon footprint so that we can continue to reduce our impact.
