Navigating Venue Maps in the App

Venue Maps

There are two maps you can use to orient yourself with the Boston Convention Exhibition Center, both accessible by scrolling the Home page:

  • A static Venue Map: simply tap on the map and Zoom in to see a birds-eye view of the show floor
  • An Interactive Map: for a more dynamic experience, click on the Interactive Map button to open a 2D digital representation of the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center and navigate through all the levels and locations.

Navigate the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center with ease

The Interactive Map features a 2D digital representation of the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center where users can orient themselves with all the unique experiences offered at INBOUND as well as locate attendee facilities, such as bathrooms, registration and Help Spots, lounging spaces, and food and beverage options. This feature also offers turn-by-turn directions from a defined starting point of interest to a defined ending point of interest.

Map overview

Once you enter the Interactive Map via the Interactive Map button on the Home page, it will bring you to a 2D map of the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center. You can zoom in and out to explore and see different locations. When navigating the different floor levels, click on the level number in the upper right-hand corner. You can choose from the levels listed to change the map view.

Discover POIs

To explore points of interest locations, drag the search bar up at the bottom of the screen. This will expand the list of locations. From there, you can manually search via the search bar or choose a location on the list. Once selected, you will be brought to that location on the map. Click on any location to see details about that location or to get directions.

Get directions

Clicking on the location you wish to navigate to will give you additional details and the option to get directions. Click the blue Directions button to continue. The app will prompt you to enter a starting point because it does not support live positioning (meaning, it can’t track the location you are currently at). After you enter your starting location, the defined route will appear with step-by-step walking directions to help you navigate to your next location.
